• Plan to prepare for the road test in the future
Lesson 1
Introduction & Basic Vehicle Control
Designed for new learners. Students learn the fundamentals of driving including seating position, steering control, braking, acceleration, mirror usage, and basic vehicle control in a quiet area.
Lesson 2
Basic Road Driving, Turning and Intersections
Practice lane positioning, speed control, left and right turns, and understanding right-of-way rules at intersections.
Lesson 3
Skill Development in More Complex Traffic
Students continue practicing the skills learned in Lesson 2, but in more challenging driving environments. This may include busier roads, more complex intersections, and improved traffic awareness.
Lesson 4
Traffic Lights: Straight Driving & Right Turns
Students practice driving through traffic light intersections, focusing on going straight and making safe right turns. The lesson emphasizes proper observation, timing, maintaining safe following distance, correct lane positioning, and understanding traffic light signals.
Lesson 5
Left Turns & Lane Changes
Students first review the skills learned in Lesson 4, including going straight and making right turns at traffic light intersections. Then the lesson focuses on practicing safe left turns, emphasizing proper positioning, timing, and yielding to oncoming traffic. Lane change techniques are also introduced to help students safely transition between lanes in traffic.
Lesson 6
Yield, Roundabouts, Merging & Parallel Parking
Students practice yielding, navigating roundabouts, and merging safely into traffic. The lesson also focuses on parallel parking, helping students learn proper positioning, steering control, and observation.
Lesson 7
Reverse Stall Parking & Highway Driving (If Ready)
Students first review the skills learned in Lesson 4, including going straight and making right turns at traffic light intersections. Then the lesson focuses on practicing safe left turns, emphasizing proper positioning, timing, and yielding to oncoming traffic. Lane change techniques are also introduced to help students safely transition between lanes in traffic.
Lesson 8
Mock Road Test & Performance Review
Students complete a simulated road test to evaluate their driving performance. After the mock test, the instructor reviews the results with the student and provides feedback on areas that need improvement. If additional practice is needed, extra lessons may be recommended to help the student become fully prepared for the road test.
